There are plenty of husband-and-wife real estate teams out there. But I think what makes Christina and me a little different is that we’re both successful real estate brokers who built our careers around different strengths.
And after years of working together, I’ve come to appreciate just how valuable those differences can be for our clients.
I’m naturally analytical. I love numbers, market trends, investment strategies, negotiating, and understanding the financial side of a real estate transaction.
Christina is different.
She has incredible intuition, emotional intelligence, and an ability to connect with people that still amazes me. She’s also an exceptionally accomplished real estate broker in her own right.
Together, we bring two very different perspectives to the same transaction.
I sometimes joke that our clients get two brokers for the price of one.
But there’s actually something pretty powerful about that arrangement.
Two Successful Real Estate Careers, One Partnership
Christina and I didn’t get into real estate simply because we were married.
We each developed our own experience, relationships, and areas of expertise.
Christina is a third-generation real estate professional with nearly 30 years of experience. Her background includes luxury residential sales, new construction, working with builders, and representing buyers and sellers throughout Greater Nashville.
My background has taken a somewhat different path.
I’ve spent more than 23 years working in Middle Tennessee real estate as a broker, investor, developer, and investment analyst.
I’ve represented luxury homebuyers and sellers, worked with national homebuilders and institutional investors, and been involved in everything from residential development to multimillion-dollar land acquisitions.
For years, Christina and I worked extensively in some of Middle Tennessee’s most desirable communities, including The Governors Club in Brentwood.
Today, we’re both part of BDG Partners at Compass, where we continue to represent buyers, sellers, builders, developers, and investors throughout Greater Nashville.
We each have our own professional strengths.
And when we combine them, I believe our clients receive a level of perspective that’s difficult for one person to provide alone.
The Analytical Mind Meets the Intuitive Mind
Anyone who knows me knows I like data.
When evaluating a property, I’m naturally thinking about things like:
- What is the property actually worth based on comparable sales?
- How much negotiating leverage do we have?
- What are current market conditions telling us?
- What are the potential risks?
- How will this property perform financially over time?
- What might affect its resale value?
I enjoy digging into those questions.
Christina sees things I sometimes don’t.
She can walk into a property with a client and immediately pick up on how they’re responding to the home.
She notices what excites them, what makes them uncomfortable, and sometimes what they’re thinking before they’ve even said it.
Her intuition is remarkable.
And I’m not talking about someone who simply has a good personality.
I’m talking about someone who has spent decades understanding people, negotiating transactions, and developing relationships.
She knows when to push, when to listen, and when someone needs a little more time to make a decision.
I tend to focus on whether a property makes financial sense. Christina has an incredible ability to recognize whether it makes sense for the people involved.
Both matter.
And the best real estate decisions usually require a combination of the two.
Why Our Approach Works Especially Well With Couples
One of the most interesting things we’ve noticed is how often our clients approach real estate decisions differently from their spouses.
It’s not unusual for one person to be very analytical.
They’re thinking about the purchase price, mortgage payment, property taxes, appreciation potential, and whether they’re making a sound financial decision.
The other person may be more focused on how the home feels.
Can they picture their family living there?
Does the floor plan work for their lifestyle?
Is the neighborhood right?
Can they imagine entertaining friends, raising children, or spending the next 20 years in that house?
Of course, these roles aren’t necessarily divided between husbands and wives. Everyone approaches decisions differently.
But what’s interesting is how frequently one person connects with my perspective while the other naturally connects with Christina’s.
And that’s where I think we have a real advantage.
We’re able to understand both sides of the decision.
Sometimes I’m helping someone work through the numbers while Christina is helping their spouse think through how the home will actually function for their family.
Sometimes it’s the opposite.
Either way, we’re working toward the same objective.
Helping both people feel confident about one of the largest financial and personal decisions they’ll make.
Christina’s Greatest Strength Is Something You Can’t Teach
I could spend a lot of time talking about Christina’s professional accomplishments.
But there’s something about her that I think is even more important.
She genuinely loves people.
And people recognize that almost immediately.
I’ve watched it happen countless times.
Someone starts working with Christina because they need help buying or selling a house.
Before long, they’re talking about their families, their kids, their careers, and everything else going on in their lives.
And somewhere along the way, the relationship becomes a friendship.
Not just a casual business acquaintance.
I’m talking about genuine friendships that continue long after the real estate transaction closes.
It’s one of the things I admire most about her.
She has this incredible ability to make people feel comfortable, understood, and important.
And the best part is that it’s completely genuine.
She’s not trying to create relationships because it’s good for business.
That’s simply who she is.
I sometimes joke that her clients don’t just want her to sell their house. They want to become her best friend.
And honestly, a lot of them do.
Real estate can be an emotional business.
People are selling homes where they raised their children, relocating to unfamiliar cities, navigating major life changes, or making financial commitments that will affect their families for years.
Christina understands that better than almost anyone I’ve ever worked with.
And I believe it’s a major reason she’s been so successful.
We Don’t Always Agree. And That’s a Good Thing.
Here’s something people might find interesting.
Christina and I don’t always see things the same way.
There have been plenty of situations where I’ve evaluated a property based on the numbers, and Christina has looked at the same property from a completely different perspective.
Sometimes she recognizes something about the buyer or seller that I haven’t considered.
Other times, I’ll identify a pricing concern, market condition, or potential risk that changes our approach.
And occasionally, we’ll challenge each other’s opinions until we arrive at a better strategy.
I think that’s healthy.
Having two experienced brokers involved doesn’t mean having two people who always agree.
It means having two people who can evaluate a situation independently.
That’s particularly valuable in real estate, where decisions often involve significant amounts of money and considerable emotion.
We both want the same thing.
The best possible outcome for our clients.
And sometimes getting there requires looking at a situation from more than one angle.
Experience Matters in Nashville’s Luxury Real Estate Market
Christina and I have worked throughout Greater Nashville for decades, including Brentwood, Franklin, Nashville, Mount Juliet, Lebanon, Thompson’s Station, Arrington, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

Our experience includes luxury homes, new construction, land acquisition, residential development, and investment properties.
At the luxury level, transactions can become particularly complex.
A buyer may be evaluating a custom home on several acres, a property with significant renovation potential, or a luxury estate that has very few comparable sales.
A seller may own a highly customized property that requires a different pricing and marketing strategy from a typical residential listing.
That’s where our combined backgrounds become particularly valuable.
My experience with development, investments, and land acquisition helps me evaluate the financial and technical aspects of a property.
Christina brings extensive experience with luxury residential sales, new construction, buyer preferences, and the details that make a home appealing.
We understand that a beautiful property isn’t necessarily a good investment at any price.
We also understand that the home with the best numbers isn’t necessarily the right home for a particular family.
The objective is to find the right balance.
Our Business Is Built on Relationships, Not Just Transactions
One thing Christina and I have always agreed on is that relationships matter more than any individual transaction.
My personal motto has long been:
Character is Paramount.
I’ve always believed that if you treat people fairly, give them sound advice, and put their interests ahead of your own, the business tends to take care of itself.
Christina has built her career around many of those same principles.
We’ve both been fortunate to develop long-standing relationships with clients who have trusted us through multiple transactions and different stages of their lives.
Some have become close friends.
Others have referred family members, business partners, and colleagues.
That’s something we never take for granted.
And while BDG Partners has grown into one of Tennessee’s leading real estate teams, the relationships we develop with our clients remain personal.
What’s It Like Being Married and Working Together?
People ask us that occasionally.
And the truth is, it works really well.
We understand each other’s strengths.
We’ve learned when to lean on those strengths and when to challenge each other.
I genuinely appreciate Christina’s instincts and the way she connects with people.
And I think she appreciates having someone who enjoys analyzing numbers, evaluating investments, and working through complicated real estate decisions.
We also understand that real estate isn’t always a nine-to-five business.
There are weekend showings, late-night conversations, unexpected challenges, and negotiations that don’t necessarily happen during normal business hours.
Having someone beside you who understands those demands makes a difference.
And after all these years, we still enjoy working together.
Two Brokers. Two Perspectives. One Commitment.
If you’re looking for a real estate broker in Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Mount Juliet, or anywhere in Greater Middle Tennessee, there are plenty of talented professionals to choose from.
But I believe Christina and I offer something a little different.
We’re two experienced, successful real estate brokers who approach the business from different perspectives.
I’m analytical, numbers-driven, and focused on strategy.
Christina is intuitive, relationship-driven, and exceptionally good at understanding people.
Together, we bring decades of experience, extensive market knowledge, and a shared commitment to helping our clients make the right decisions.
Whether you’re buying a luxury home, selling a property, purchasing land, building a custom home, or evaluating a real estate investment, we want you to feel informed and confident throughout the process.
And yes, sometimes you really do get two brokers for the price of one.
But more importantly, you get two people who genuinely care about helping you make the right decision.
