Bess Knox

Bess is a founding partner of BDG Partners, Nashville’s #1 Listing and Selling real estate team. BDG has successfully closed 7,200+ transactions and sold over $3.25B+ in real estate. As a Nashville native with 14+ years in real estate and life coaching, Bess offers a rare dual perspective that sets her apart. She helps clients navigate not just the move, but the life change behind it. As a NYU certified life coach with a BA in Psychology, she understands that buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction — it’s most often a major life transition. Bess blends strategy and empathy to guide buyers, sellers, and relocators through career shifts, family growth, downsizing, or navigating life after loss — allowing her to support clients reaching real estate goals that align with their values and vision.

Bess began her real estate career in 2011 joining her husband and forming The Knox Team at The Corcoran Group in New York City quickly rising to the top 1% of agents nationwide. In 2014, shortly after the birth of their daughter they relocated their family and their business to her hometown of Nashville. Before merging and forming BDG Partners, The Knox Team closed over 4,000 transactions totaling $1 billion plus in sales volume, earning accolades such as: #1 Listing Team (2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2018), #1 Selling Team (2021–2023), #1 New Construction Sales Team in Nashville (2016–2022) and were Ranked #1 in Tennessee and #2 in the U.S. by RealTrends and The Wall Street Journal (2023).

Prior to real estate Bess was a NYC Ford Model. She spent 18 years pioneering the curvy movement in fashion as the 1st curvy fit model and design consultant for Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and dozens of other global brands. That experience taught her the importance of authenticity, and helping people feel seen — values she carries into every client relationship today. She continues to use this platform to empower women and teen girls. She is passionate about using her voice, story, and coaching to help women live a life of confidence, contribution, hope, and purpose.

Bess is a proud mom of two, deeply rooted in the local community, her church, and her children’s school. When she is not working with clients, you’ll find her cheering on her kids at sporting events across town, speaking, or volunteering her time serving throughout Davidson and Williamson counties supporting meaningful causes right where it counts most: at home!
