I’m Christina Cunningham and am a third-generation real estate Broker who’s been slinging houses in Nashville for nearly 30 years. At this point, I’ve seen it all: the bidding wars, the lowball offers, the cousin who “just got their license last week” and wants to list your million-dollar home, and the appraiser who insists your granite countertops are “dated.” Yet here I am with coffee in one hand, contracts in the other. I still show up every morning because, somehow, this circus of emotions still gives me life.

Over the past three decades, I’ve built a career that balances deep market expertise with humor, humanity, and grit. From watching families melt down in living rooms to negotiating deals wild enough to be a Netflix series, I’ve learned that real estate is as much about people as it is about property. And truth be told, it beats my backup plan of teaching goat yoga or pouring lattes at Starbucks. I have found success in identifying with my clients. Like any great actor, I literally take on the role of my clients and feel the highs and lows with them. We often get very close during the transaction and maintain a true friendship after they close. To me this seems easy because it is authentic, and I am extremely transparent.

Professionally, I’m a Broker with Compass and co-founder of BDG Partners, Middle Tennessee’s top real estate sales and development groups. With roots in new construction and builder relations, I’ve spent years helping clients navigate everything from luxury listings and custom builds to land acquisition and development consulting. I have represented many builders over the years from production starter homes to exclusive gated private golf course communities. My work spans Davidson, Williamson, Wilson, and Rutherford Counties, and my focus has always been simple. Just deliver honesty, strategy, and results with a sense of humor intact.

Clients know me for my straightforward approach, quick wit, and calm under pressure. Whether you’re building your dream home, investing in land, or just trying to survive a competitive offer situation, I’ll guide you through it with equal parts professionalism and personality. It also helps tremendously that often I have been in the shoes of my clients so I can relate on most levels. I was a first-time home buyer, I was a “move-up” buyer, I bought land and custom built a home, I invested in rentals, new homes, and developments, etc… Simply put, I can relate with many of my clients in a way many others cannot. Real Estate is emotional, and this is my superpower.

I attended college at Middle Tennessee State University and studied psychology. I had no idea how much this would help me in Real Estate! And when I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my husband and business partner, Darin Cunningham, as we continue to service our business and serve the greater Nashville community.

So here I am — thirty years in, still hustling, still helping, and still laughing at the chaos of it all. Call me if you want a Realtor / Broker who knows the market, tells it straight, and isn’t afraid to make a slightly inappropriate joke to keep the stress levels down.

What's the craziest thing you've seen or done in real estate?

25 + years ago I worked on site in Millersville for an entry-level builder. The guy across the street was very mad that he assumed his lot size was bigger, and when we started building on the lot next-door, he was furious, stopped mowing his easement area and around his house so it grew up. I thought I could make him understand, knocked on his door to ask him nicely to mow it. He threatened me and cussed at me. It didn’t go so well, I ended up calling him a little man in a little crappy house, in a lil crappy neighborhood. I went back to my model home and sat down. He then pulled a shotgun and sat on his deck and pointed at my head from across the street. -911- came and couldn’t find the gun LOL. The police officer asked why he was so upset. Of course I had 🤷🏽‍♀️ no idea. The company I worked for moved me.  

What's the favorite place you've traveled and why?

I am a beach girl 💯 percent. I love everything about Aruba. The calm, the locals, the beautiful beaches and yes I have been to Hawaii, but Aruba is better 😉

What's the best weekend getaway in Tennessee?

Best weekend getaway in TN Centerhill lake!!

What are your favorite nashville restaruants?

Love 5th and Taylor, Kanye Prime and Two Hands. 

Which nashville neighborhoods have your heart?

The gulch and 12th S. Absolutely love the community feel and the walkable neighborhoods. Love the charm and character of 12th South

What's the one home feature that instantly wins you over?

The outdoor living! I love when a home has lots of optional activities. Pool, pickleball, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, pizza oven the more things to do the better. 

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SANDWICH?

Well… all health aspects aside it’s for sure a Reuben!!!!! I eat maybe 1 a year, but fondly think of it often.
